The Wilkes Foundation

More About Us!

The Wilkes Foundation is a nonprofit organization, founded by Eric Wilkes to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities by providing critical goods and services that support dignity, independence and well-being. The organization serves individuals across the Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) population, from toddlers to seniors, with items and experiences that are often financially out of reach, such as warm clothing, personal hygiene services and mobility aids. As a firsthand witness to the barriers and financial hardships many individuals with disabilities face, Eric founded The Wilkes Foundation to fill in the gaps left by government support systems and offer tangible help and long-term hope. As the foundation grows., it will build a structured leadership team and develop target programs to scale it's impact.

The Wilkes Foundation is an Ohio-based nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities who lack access to basic life necessities. Founded and operated by Eric Wilkes in July of 2025, the organization was created to address the painful reality that many individuals within the DODD population live on extremely limited incomes and cannot afford things like new clothing, assistive devices or even haircuts. The foundation's programs are designed to provide these essential supports while preserving the dignity and individuality of every person served.
