The Wilkes Foundation exist to restore dignity, independence and joy to individuals with disabilities by providing critical, everyday items and experiences that are often overlooked or inaccessible due to financial hardship. We are committed to addressing the material and emotion needs that directly impact quality of life, such as clothing, personal care, assistive devices and social inclusion opportunities, especially for those of the DODD population who are often living on extremely limited means. By stepping in to bridge the gap where insurance and government support fall short, we empower individuals to live as normal and fulfilling a life as possible. We believe that even the smallest acts, like a new coat, a clean haircut or a community outing can restore confidence, spark joy and make a person feel seen, valued and supported. Our mission is to be a constant reminder that every individual, regardless of ability, deserves access to comfort, care and compassion.
